THE HENDERSONVILLE STAR NEWS FRIDAY, AUGUST 17, 2012 3A NEWS Musicians pay tribute to legendary Franklin OBITUARIES Roy L. Graves Roy L. Graves, 86, of Hendersonville for 49 years, died at home surrounded by his family. He was born August of 1925 in Decatur, to Mr. and Mrs.

Robert Ernest Graves. He later moved to the Nashville area at age 7. He was a graduate of East High School in Nashville. He then served his country in the United States Navy in World War II aboard the destroyer USS Cogswell in the South Pacific. He was a retired member of Genes-co after 40 years of service.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife of 28 years, Eva Dee Graves; and son, Steven Graves. He is survived by his son, Michael Graves; daughters, Irma Sullivan, Doris Smith (Christopher) and Reba Frey (Stanley); eight grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and several extended family and friends. A Life Celebration will be held Aug. 18 at noon at Hendersonville Funeral Home with Brother Gary Ferrell officiating. Visitation will be 10am until service time at Hendersonville Funeral Home.

The crowd listens to performances at Trinity Music City on Tuesday.
