NPC's Biumen, Circulation Official, Dies VILLE TENNESSEAN and within the entire family of the Newspaper Printing Corp. feel deeply the loss of our friend and colleague, Rinkey Biumen. "He gave to his executive position all that he had talent, dedication and experience." "CHEAT newspapers are made by the devotion of men like Rinkey Biumen. The loyalty and friendship he gave to all of us will never be forgotten." James G. Stahlman, publisher of the Banner, said Biumen "was always a very valued and "it was very tragic the way he died." Robert Ballow, circulation director, said, Biumen "took every complaint as a real important matter." "He was one of those rare people whose life was his job.

The time of day had no meaning to him. He was there at all hours, seven days a week. His life and that news paper job were inseparable." BLUMEN married former Miss Ethel Young in 1937. She survives. Biumen was a member of West End Men's Club and was an Elk.

He was a member of West End Synagogue. Other survivors include five sons, Larry, David, Billy, Rickey and Joel; four sisters, Mrs. Mollie Ward, Mrs. Ann Beaver and Miss Rebecca Biumen, Nashville, and Mrs. THE NASHVILLE TENNESSEAN.

The NPC is agent for THE NASHVILLE TENNESSEAN and the Banner. Biumen was born in Birmingham, and moved to Nashville as a young boy. He was a son of the late Joseph and Leah Kamarinsky Biumen. HE BEGAN his career as a paper boy in 1927 while attending public school here. He was an assistant route manager for THE TENNESSEAN from 1930 to 1932.

He was later promoted to circulation supervisor, working in various capacities until he was named assistant city circulation manager in 1959. Biumen held that post until 1968 when he organized the service department and became its first service manager. His work in that department was credited as having greatly improved the services of NPC. In 1969 he was named city circulation manager. Working under him were 700 carrier boys and 26 district managers in Metro.

If for some reason a subscriber did not get his paper, and a route manager could not be found, Biumen was known to deliver the paper himself.
