8, 1990 THE TENNESSEAN 7-B Officer charged in sexual assault on 2 boys son carried him into the bedroom and fondled him, affidavits say. On Sept. 23, Davidson coerced the other victim to drink until he "became sick to his stomach and went to rest on the bed. While he was sleeping he was awakened by Davidson rubbing his chest," affidavits say. Davidson proceeded to perform sexual acts on the victim, who "pretended to be unconscious during this for fear Davidson would kill him," affidavits say.

Officials with the Davidson County Sheriff's Department confirmed that Davidson has worked there for officer assigned to the Metro Workhouse. "The allegations and the charges will be investigated by the sheriff's office. We will certainly investigate this and we will take whatever action we deem necessary," said Jim Hillin, administrative assistant to the sheriff. White House Police Chief Jim Matthews could not be reached for comment, but White House Mayor Billy Hobbs last night confirmed that Davidson has been working as a reserve officer for the city. "This is quite a shock," Hobbs said last night.

"Of course, as a reserve officer they do not get salaries so they could simply be dismissed. But that might be premature at this point. I'm sure we would not use Mr. Davidson as a reserve officer until the matter is cleared up." Davidson is scheduled to appear in General Sessions Court here next Wednesday. Dale Davidson, 30, of Cottontown, a reserve officer with the White House Police Department, was charged with two counts of sexual battery involving one of the teens and two counts of rape involving the other male. Davidson was arrested yesterday morning at the Sumner County Sheriff's Department and is free on $50,000 bond, said detective "Last month, two juveniles and their parents came to my office and reported this Davidson subject has taken them to his house and gotten them intoxicated and raped them," Puccini said. Davidson had apparently met the youths, who are from Robertson County, previously while working as a security agent at an auction in White House, Puccini said. According to affidavits, the charges stem from incidents on Sept.

The victim, 14, has been isolated from the other children at Spencer occurred, Henderlight said.

The results of the investigation are not complete. Other students in the dormitory reported the incident on Sunday, he said. "We were responsible for that child's safety, and we didn't get the job done," Henderlight said. "That's a fact." Man files suit over mother's traffic death By KIRK LOGGINS Staff Writer The son of a woman killed by a car crash last month filed suit yesterday against the other car's driver and the owner of the bar where she had been drinking. Erik J. Dean, 19, said in a Circuit Court lawsuit that his mother, Barbara Lynn Dean, 42, died as the result of negligence by Judith A. Cole, the driver of the second car, by that car's owner, Kimberly O'Conner, and by Kathie E. Smrtic, owner of the Pink Elephant Lounge at 557 Donelson Pike, where Cole was drinking on the night of Oct.

26. Erik Dean, of 3308 Quail View Drive, said in the lawsuit that his mother, who was a legal secretary, suffered "massive internal injuries" in the crash on Royal Parkway at about 1:35 a.m. on Oct. 27. Barbara Dean, who was riding in a car driven by Donna L.

Bolch, died early on Oct. 28 in Baptist Hospital. Bolch, 50, suffered serious injuries to her neck, back and legs, said Erik Dean's attorney, Pat Nichol. Shirley Smart, 50, of 830 Glastonbury Road, who was riding with Cole, died Sunday in Vanderbilt University Medical Center as a result of injuries she suffered in the crash. Erik Dean's lawsuit charged that Cole, 34, of 3722 Grubbs Road, was guilty of reckless driving, for crossing the center line on Royal Parkway, and of driving a motor vehicle while intoxicated.

Franklin Accident victim sues for faulty traffic light By JIM EAST Staff Writer FRANKLIN, Tenn. A Franklin woman has sued the city because a malfunctioning traffic signal was not repaired for four days last summer. The woman is herself being sued over an accident in which she was involved at the site of the light. Sandra Garrott's lawyer said that Franklin officials were negligent and should have to pay any judgment returned against Garrott from a $600,000 lawsuit filed against her stemming from a June 24 accident at the intersection of Franklin Road and the Mack Hatcher Bypass. Garrott, 1112 Cross Creek Drive, is the defendant in a lawsuit filed Aug.

8 by Lambeth Mayes and Katherine Swain, both of Nashville. Swain, 3011 Oakland was a passenger in Mayes' car as it headed south toward Franklin on Franklin Road and Garrott was driving east on the bypass, the Mayes-Swain lawsuit said. Mayes, 4501 Packard Drive, suffered "serious bodily injuries" as a result of the wreck and was hospitalized at Vanderbilt University Medical Center for several weeks, the lawsuit said. medical bills were listed at $39,180.54 in the August lawsuit. Swain, who was hospitalized for three days at Vanderbilt, incurred medical costs of $5,540.57, the lawsuit said.

Mayes is seeking $350,000 and Swain is asking $250,000 in their lawsuit. Woodard also asked that the city, which was not named in the MayesSwain lawsuit, be made a party in that action.
