She was the wife of insurance agent, James Clark Tippens. Born in Birmingham, AL in 1911, she was the daughter of Edna Webb and Richard Wood Jones, Chief Engineer of the Railroad. She graduated from the University of Kentucky in 1932. Mrs. Tippens was active in the Brentwood Methodist Church, and later, West End Methodist Church.

She belonged to several book clubs and The Centennial Club. She was the sister of the late Eunice Beadles of Nashville. She is survived by her four children, James Clark Tippens, Jr. of Dunedin, FL, Richard Wood Jones Tippens of Knoxville, Betty Martin Tippens Baker of Homewood, IL, Jenny Eunice Tippens Dickinson of Providence, RI; eight grandchildren; and two greatgrandchildren. Burial will be private.

Kunz- Age 81. A native of Chillicothe, Ohio. Passed away June 3, 2002. She is survived by her husband, Howard Nace; two sons, Lloyd Nace (Nancy) and Larry Nace (Julie); two brothers, William and Edwin Kunz; 8 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren. Mrs.

Nace was Valedictorian of Centralia High School in Ross County, Ohio. After graduation, she had to decline a scholarship to Purdue University to help take care of her mother. When she returned to her education, she attended Wilmington College for one year and later received a Bachelor of Arts and Education Degree from the University of Dayton, Ohio in 1962. She taught school for 14 years in Ohio. From 1977-1982, she was Property Manager for Family Mart, a division of A Groceries in Atlanta, Georgia.

After her retirement, she volunteered as an income tax preparer for older adults. She was also a great flower lover. She held Memberships at St. Paul United Methodist Church in Marietta, GA, Bellevue United Methodist Church and Calvary United Methodist Church in Nashville. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m., Wednesday, June 5, 2002 at Calvary United Methodist Church with Rev.
