STAFF REPORTS Program extends USDA lunches The Tennessee Department of Human Services is looking to increase summer food service programs in the area. Sponsors and additional feeding sites are needed to provide low-income children healthy, nutritious meals during the summer vacation, the state says. The program is regulated and funded through the U.S.

Department of Agriculture. It is the same program that provides children with meals when school is in session. DHS contracts with several local agencies or sponsors that prepare and deliver food to children. KLINE, William Leathe- Died unexpectedly on Sunday, February 1, 2009 following recent surgery. Bill was born on July 5, 1942 in St. Louis, MO to Mary Margaret and Leathe C. Kline. A graduate of John Burroughs High School and Colgate University, he moved to Nashville in 1968, where he has maintained a Financial Planning and Asset Management business for 40 years.

Bill was an active member and Elder of Westminster Presbyterian Church, where he initiated the first Habitat for Humanity project, and most recently, launched The Living Waters for the World mission, having made two trips to Peru in the last year. Bill enjoyed his involvement with several charities and organizations, and the friends he made thru his ongoing efforts. He was a co-founder of Buddies of Nashville in 1969 and for 30 years, he particularly loved delivering meals-on-wheels for Martha O'Bryan Community Center. Bill was a member of West End Sertoma Club, Director of Society of Financial Service Professionals, Nashville Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors, and Nashville Estate Planning Council. Bill was a loving father, husband, grandfather and friend who had an incredible passion for life.

He was an avid outdoorsman. His hobbies included, but were not limited to hiking, flying, sailing, farming, fishing, waterskiing, mountain climbing, backpacking and countless other His appreciation for nature was only exceeded by his love for family. Bill is survived by wife, Elizabeth (Beth) C. Weaver; son, William L. "Josh" (Cherie) Kline II; daughter, Carrie (Brian) Vingelen; step children, Shad (Cameron) Weaver, Libby (Nick) Sieveking, Courtney Weaver; grandchildren, Jackson Vingelen, Xander and Sloane Kline, Betty, Tommy and Fulton Weaver, Cole and Bond Sieveking, and Olivia Leu.
