TUESDAY, MARCH 28, 2017 7S DICKSON SHOPPER member of the Catholic Church and while living in New York she was in the choir at Our Lady of Good Counsel in Inwood, NY. The family would like to thank Cans Hospice for the loving care they gave Mrs. Piratzky and especially Sandra, Beth and Kya. Survivors include her son, Ken Piratzky (Audrey) of Virginia Beach, VA; daughter, Karma Cyrus (Michael) of McEwen, TN; brother, Bobby Napoles (Marie) of South Carolina; sister, Kathy Beeler (Carl) of Texas; sister-in-law, Wilma Napoles of Virginia Beach, VA; grandchildren, Nancy, Tom Sheri), Karen (Henry), Jennifer (Richard), No-elle (Jonathan), Kenny (Rachel) and Jamey (Carley); 19 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. CATHEY Craggie Hope, TN Their funerals were conducted Monday February 27, 2017 at 2 PM from the Chapel of the Taylor Funeral Home with Rev. Dale Mills officiating. Place of rest was in the Hutton Cemetery in White Bluff. Mr. Elbert Earl "Buck" Cathey age 86 and Mrs.

Lavon C. Cathey age 80 both of Craggie Hope, TN died Tuesday February 21 201 7. Mr. Elbert was bom in Craggie Hope, TN and was the son of the late Arch and Vivian Rowland Cathey and Mrs. Lavon was bom in Kansas City, MO.

Mr. Cathey retired from Consolidated Freight Ways as a Maintenance Engineer and was also an Inventor and owned his own company Cathey Power Innovations and was a U.S. Army veteran. Mrs. Cathey had worked for Proctor and Gamble and later as a Legal Secretary.

Both were members of the Craggie Hope First United Methodist Church. They are survived by their daughters, Tiffany Jo Johnson of St. Joseph, MO pann and Carol Ann Harris; grandchildren, Joshua Johnson, Courtney Johnson, Jordan Harris, Jeremy Harris, and Mr. Cathey's sister, Wilma Cathey of Kirksville, MO. Funeral Home 1 bree Russell, Trace Russell, Easton Russell and little Theodore Dunlap; one sister Jane Russell Ray of Missouri and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Julia Yarber Russell, his parents and a sister, Marie Russell Lentz. Pallbearers will be Dave Russell, Lee Russell, Cory Russell, Daniel Leach, Wayne Enlow, Terry Enlow, Shawn Russell and Dustin Brandon. Honorary pallbearer will be Charles Deaton. Visitation will be Friday, February 24, 6-9 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, Ms.

JAMES OLENVANN Erin, TN Age 81 Passed away on Wednesday, February 22, 2017 in Dickson, TN. Mr. Vann was born on June 25, 1935 in Houston County, TN to the late Mr. Mrs. Alonzo Marshall Clara Christine (Williams) Vann.

In addition to his parents. He was preceded in death by brother; Jerry Vann and sisters, Doris Mathis; and Mildred Forsee. Mr. Vann was a graduate of Erin High School Class of 1953; He joined the Army, April 14, 1958. Served in Germany as Specialist and honorably discharged March 1964, after serving in the Reserves as Specialist 5.

He is survived by his wife Carolyn Vann; daughters Kathy Bradley (Tim) of Erin, Denice Bailey of Dickson; Brothers Glen of Erin, and Marshall Vann of Dickson; Sister Patricia Smith of Dickson. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren; Andrew Bailey, Shawn Bradley, Tabitha Marshall, Brandon Bailey, Amber Lamar, Angel Bradley, Joshua Bradley, and Joseph Bradley. 12 Great grandchildren; Addy, Rachel, Kaiden, Jeremiah, Addison, Rogan, Austin, Katie May, Georgie, Rylan, Maggie, Josiah. Funeral services were held on Saturday, February 25, 2017 from the Chapel of Dickson Funeral Home where Pastor Lawrence Golden officiated. Interment followed at the Center Pointe Cemetery.

RENATE LUISE LYKENS WALP Dickson, TN Renate Luise Lykens Walp, age 70 of Dickson, TN died Thursday February 23, 2017. Her wishes were to be cremated and no services are planned at this time.

Born in Fritzlar, Germany she was the daughter of the late, Elzie and Elisabeth Helena Altmeyer Lykens and was preceded in death by her brother, Hans J. Lykens. Renate was a retired Operator for and she was of the Baptist Faith. Survivors include her sons, Michael A. Walp of New Bern, NC, Brian J.

Walp of Jericho, VT; sister, Judy Scarborough of Cumberland Furnace, TN; brother, Richard Reed of Morristown, TN; 7 grandchildren. DOROTHY GRACE PIRATZKY McEwen, TN Funeral Mass was conducted Tuesday February 28, 2017 at 10 AM at St. Christopher's Catholic Church with Father Michael Baltrus officiating. Place of rest was in the Union Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Humane Society or St.

Jude Children's Hospital. Dorothy Grace Napoles Piratzky, age 90 of McEwen, TN died Thursday February 23, 2017. Born in Queens, NY she was the daughter of the late Nelson and Dorothea May Pirchard Napoles. During WWII she worked building airplane parts and later worked for Montgomery Ward as an Accountant Bookkeeper for 33 years. She was a work anymore.

Joetta loved God and she was an encourager to God's people. There was a special place in her heart for her home church family at the Christian Faith Center officiated by Pastor Norman Manning. Preceding her in death; her parents and brothers James Hall and Harry Breedlove, sister Yvette Marshall. Those left to cherish and honor her memory are her children, Jeffery. Orlando Troy, and Thomas Delone Holt siblings, Ann Mayberry and Rosalind Burton; grandchildren, Felicia Santa Austin, Jeffery Holt Jr.

Joshua Jon Holt, Cha-rasma Moseley (Ronald Moseley), LaToyia Kelly, Thomas Delone Holt Jr, Santana Roods(Gregory Roods), Cned-Reese Smotherman, Aaron Bell Clevontea Holt Dontea Holt Hadge.and Shadricka Bostick Holt. She is also survived by great-grandchildren Keyaudrea Auston, Kiara Auston, Keyasia Auston, Jessica Holt, Aundre Holt, Karon Moseley, Corey Moseley Karmyn Moseley, Kamran McBride, Kaitlin McBride, Kaden Mc-Bride, Kasen McBride, Aaliyah Smotherman Diamond Bostick.Shaniyah Wiggins, Daryl Dreko.Jared Forever Richardson. ORVILLE RAY RUSSELL Belmont, MS Marjorie Ann Talbert, 84, Gallatin, TN, died 223.

Arrangements: Alexander FH Gallatin Monday 27th 2 pm with visitation Mon 11 -2. Orville Ray Russell, 89, left for his heavenly home on February 22, 2017 following an extended illness. He was bom November 16, 1927 to Finous E. Russell and Lillian Daniel Russell in their home at Bloody Springs, MS near the AL state line. He grew up working the family farm, sawmill and gristmill amongst his parents' families.

Ray married Julia Yarber of Belmont, MS a few months before his high school graduation from Belmont High School. Just weeks later, he entered the U.S. Army by which he was shipped to Korea. A few years after his honorable discharge, they found themselves in St. Louis, MO.

While there, they lived, having three children, participating in church, league baseball and basketball and work. Ray served as a deacon and an elder at West End church of Christ and was a member of Maud Church of Christ. He spent nineteen years working at Central States Packaging. He managed baseball teams and organized a basketball league. Wanting to move closer to their MS home, they moved to Dickson, TN where Ray was drafted to be the plant manager and later the Vice-President of Interstate Packaging and be in Belmont each weekend.

He joined in the farming business with his father until his father's death. Ray and Julia's family grew spreading between MS and TN. Ray retired at seventy-three to work their cattle farm. They were married sixty-seven years at her death April 12, 2013. Services will be Saturday, February 25, 1 p.m.

Duke, age 88. of Dickson, TN died peacefully Sunday, February 19, 2017 at NHC of Dickson with her family by her side. Those desiring, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation or to the American Cancer Society. She was bom in White Bluff, TN and was the daughter of the late Elmer and Margie Fowler Cocke. She attended public schools and was a graduate of William James High School where she was saluta-torian of her class.

In her early years she worked in billing with the former Southern Bell Phone system. She will be remembered as a loving, dedicated wife, mother, sister and grandmother. Her family meant everything to her and she preferred to be home over anywhere else. In her younger, healthier years, she loved to cook for her family and made the absolute best caramel cake from scratch. She was a hard worker and loved planting fresh flowers around the house.

Mrs. Duke was a longtime member of the White Bluff Church of Christ. She never missed an opportunity to tell you exactly what she thought, and her wit and stubbornness will be greatly missed. Her boys were her world and the love and care they showed her up until her very last breath will forever be a testament of their love and admiration of her. Survivors include her husband of 68 years, Lee Duke, Jr.

of Dickson, TN; her sons, Dale Duke and his wife, Martha of Dickson, TN, Danny Duke of Dickson, TN and David Duke of Dickson, TN; her four grandchildren, Andrea Duke Banks and her husband, Justin, Maria Duke Lastovka and her husband, Chad, Matthew Duke and Melissa Duke; her four great grandchildren, Audrey Banks, Kellan Banks, Ava Lastovka and Annie Lastovka; her sister, Ruby Nell Larkins of Maryville.TN. She attended Hampton High School and decided to leave high school in her 11th year to get married to Willie Holt, Jr. on February 15, 1958. She was a devoted house wife and mother for 21 years. In life some things change, and Joetta became a single mother with three boys. She worked two jobs at various restaurants as a cook to provide for her family.

She got a job at the Green Valley Nursing Home, working in the house keeping department and retired after twenty plus year of employment.
